What you’ll need to succeed as a Truck Driver at XPO Minimum qualifications: - Be at least 21 years of age - Current Class 1 or Class A CDL with proper airbrake/manual transmission endorsements as indicated by each province - Safe driving record and history Preferred qualifications: - Forklift experience - Hazardous materials certificate(s) - Proper airbrake/manual transmission endorsement(s) for other provinces About the Truck Driver Job: Pay, benefits and more: - Home Daily - Pay starts at $29.45/hour - Up to $2,000 in bonuses available - Night Shift - Extended health benefits (medical, dental and vision) - Pension plan - Life insurance - Disability coverage What you’ll do on a typical day: - Safely operate a tractor-trailer combination, including doubles and triples - Provide excellent service to customers, including generating sales leads - Load and unload freight - Perform vehicle inspections required under section 396.13 of the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Regulations (if crossing into the U.S.) Truck Drivers are required to: - Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (frequently up to 50 lbs. and occasionally greater than 75 lbs.); move and position a converter dol...
