SUNSHINE COMMUNITIES Therapeutic Lifeguard Summary: Monitors activities in pool areas, gym, public space and multi-sensory room to ensure safety, prevent accidents and provides assistance to both individuals of Sunshine and community members by performing the following duties Qualifications: - Act as a representative for Sunshine and the Aquatics department, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with the community and other departments at Sunshine - Assists with individualized programming for individuals of Sunshine - Works with other staff and departments in relation to needs and programming in the pool area, gym and multi-sensory room - Assist with individual transfers in and out of pool - Cautions swimmers regarding safety and unsafe areas - Rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers first aid and/or CPR as needed - Maintains order in swimming areas - Inspects facilities for cleanliness and/or needed maintenance. Maintains the upkeep of pool, locker room, public spaces and multi-sensory room.
