Mold Process Manager

Job description

As a Mold Process Manager, you will support all facets of new injection mold builds, existing mold repair, and preventive maintenance. You will serve as a key technical resource for the operation of toolroom equipment used to fabricate and repair tooling. The ideal candidate can machine precision mold components, understand how each component functions in the molding process, and can independently diagnose molding defects by identifying the tooling failure mode and recommending the most effective repair or design change to prevent recurrence in future production runs. Essential duties and responsibilities may include: Set up and operate toolroom machinery to build, repair, and maintain injection molds, tooling, and fixtures. Set up and operate machine tools (lathes, milling machines, grinders, etc.) and auxiliary equipment commonly found in a supporting toolroom. Use machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments to produce component parts and complete tools to specification. Build tooling from prints or develop designs from available resources when prints are not provided.
