Postdoctoral Associate Required Qualifications: (as evidenced by an attached resume) Doctoral Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field in hand by May 2026. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Thermal Spray Materials/Processes/Characterization/Modeling. Experience in Solid Mechanics/Thermomechanics/Finite Element Analysis. Experience in functional materials and advanced testing. Brief Description of Duties: The Postdoctoral Associate will assist the Principal Investigator Dr. Sanjay Sampath in the department of Materials Science and Engineering. The incumbent will conduct research and ensure that all experiments are appropriately conducted following the policies and procedures of Stony Brook University.
