Description SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: The Production Control Scheduler position is a highly visible role responsible for planning and scheduling activities. This position is of great significance within the company and is responsible to oversee daily production schedules and ensure that finished good inventory levels are managed properly. This position is responsible for all shipping and receiving activities. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Develop and maintain customer forecast, master schedule and procurement plan based on history and sales opportunities. Responsible for inventory control and monitoring of customer systems and requirements. - Review and update forecast, production schedules and material requirements; and work with Sales and Operations to develop and manage forecast. - Proactively review material supply of purchased cores from outside vendors and coordinate outside casting services such as coating and heat treat. - Assess impact to materials availability and production schedule from customer sales opportunities that may be affecting demand for product over and above the plan. - Review material shortages, stock outages, and safety stock levels in coordination with Purchasing a...
