Job description

Per Diem, Days Position Summary: Responsible for the assessment and the insertion of vascular access lines for patients requiring an intravenous access device. Responsibility also includes coordinating the process of vascular access line placements, communication with primary care nurses and providing education for care and maintenance of vascular access devices. The Vascular Access Nurse directs the access process and team members, establishing a positive and professional rapport with other departments and staff, focusing on the provision of individualized quality patient care consistent with organizational standards and goals. · Manages and coordinates the care of patients in a defined care delivery model for the placement of vascular access lines, utilizing the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
