Sterile Processing Technician Job Description: Sterile Processing Technicians decontaminate, assemble, sterilize and distribute instruments, equipment and supplies. Maintains education in Sterile Processing and related aspects of patient care. Department: Outpatient Surgery Center: Hours: Full-time/ 36 hours per week Required: HS Diploma: Pay: Based on experience, starting at $18.68 per hour Responsibilities: Applies principles of disinfection and sterilization., Decontaminates and refill crash carts, urological cart and latex free box, Trach Box, Chest tube Box, Central Line and Debridement box, following established health center procedures., Decontaminates instruments and equipment following established health center procedures per manufacturer instruction., Demonstrates knowledge of basic aseptic techniques., Inspects instruments for functionality and prepares them for sterilization., Maintains and secures stocked crash carts and replenishes used crash carts.
