Description The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Division of Psychology is pleased to accept applications for one full-time 12-month post-doctoral fellow. The fellow will provide early childhood mental health consultation services to children under the age of 6 years enrolled in early learning centers and family child care homes in Southern Louisiana and their childcare caregivers and families. Fellow should be able to clinically conceptualize a wide variety of cases involving young children and their caregivers with challenging behaviors, attachment and/or relationship problems, developmental delays, and/or other mental health issues and make appropriate referrals. Fellow will also provide consultation and training to multidisciplinary professionals. Visits to child care providers may be made in person or remotely through a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. Program will provide personal protective equipment according to health department guidelines (e.g., cloth masks, hand sanitizer) for use during in person visits.
