Title: Floor Tech I State Role Title: Hsekeep &/or Apparel Worker I Hiring Range: $35,568: Pay Band: 1: Agency: Dept of Veterans Services: Location: Davis & McDaniel Vet Care Ctr Agency Website: www.dvs.virginia.gov: Recruitment Type: General Public - G Job Duties: Applies appropriate skills, cleaning techniques, procedures and effective use of equipment and products to a wide range of surfaces, while engaged in stripping and refinishing floors, burnishing and buffing floors, shampooing carpets and upholstery; in addition to sweeping, dust mopping, damp/wet mopping, dusting, polishing, scrubbing, vacuuming and waste removal. Replenishment of supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, hand soaps, deodorants, cleans up of body fluids and body waste. Assignments may include working off 6 foot ladders and the use of simple hand tools while exchanging window drapes, curtains, venetian blinds, cubical curtains, shower curtains, and washing glass, walls, and ceiling vents. Keeps assigned space in a clean, orderly manner. Equipment utilized is cleaned after each use, and properly stored. Equipment malfunctions and repair needs are brought to Supervisors’ attention.
