Position Overview: - Department: 5/6 South Ortho/Neuro Schedule: Multiple Shifts: - 7:00 PM -7:00 AM (3) 12 hour shifts with every other weekend - 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (3) 12 hour shifts with every other weekend - Work Location: UAB St. Vincent’s Birmingham - Benefits for eligible positions only include: Generous Paid Time Off, Paid Parental Leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and More What You Will Do: Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision. - Assist patients with ambulation as necessary. This may include helping them to a recliner in their room, walk to the bathroom or down the hall. Assist dismissed patients in getting safely to their vehicles. - Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living. - Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Documents necessary records. - Keeps patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintains medical equipment. - Performs certain technical patient care duties in the hospital as directed by the staff nurse such as oxygen setup, foley catheter care, pulse oximetry setup, specimen collection and EKGs. - Obtain...
