Pay Rate: $15.00 Hourly |Full Time, Temporary | 8am-4:30pm Monday - Friday Weekly Earned Wage Access is an option for this position. Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Greenhouse Assistant supports the Growing Hope program by helping with the cultivation, preservation, and distribution of Choctaw heritage plants and seeds. You will contribute to the revitalization of traditional agriculture and food practices while supporting the community’s engagement with Choctaw heritage crops. You will report to the Supervisor. Primary Tasks: Plant, grow, harvest, and manage Choctaw heritage plants and seed stocks in greenhouse and outdoor garden spaces. Regularly inspect plants for signs of pest infestations and nutritional deficiencies and take appropriate action to address the issues. Ensure sanitary and healthy growing conditions to support optimal plant growth. Collect and record data on plant health, growing patterns, and pest or plant nutrition issues, and report findings to the team. Help with the distribution of seeds from the Growing Hope program to Choctaw growers via mail or pickup.
