Position Summary Description Provides analytical support to the corporate planning department. Analyzes regulatory and legislative policies and information. Essential Functions: - Assists in the development of Seminole’s Ten-Year Site Plan for submittal to the Florida Public Service Commission. - Stays abreast of new developments, regulatory changes and requirements in the areas of utility and generation planning. - Monitors and maintains a database of activities regarding pending state and federal legislation and regulation affecting energy policy. - Develops and maintains Seminole position papers and talking points on legislation and regulations that have the potential to affect operations. Keeps these materials up-to-date and available to the company. - Helps to develop and distribute effective communication material, including but not limited to, brochures, news clips, newsletter articles, and white papers. - Tracks Seminole’s regulatory actions (with the exception of environmental, NERC, and transmission items) and coordinate timely filings and responses with Seminole personnel and other organizations, including NRECA or other industry groups.
