Position Summary Acuren Inspection is currently looking for a Welder to support our operations. This position will perform welding for casting upgrades, grind/rework/prep areas that require welding, and general mechanical duties. Works with numerous ASTM, MIL-standards, AWS & ASME-approved procedures as well as – Welding: MIG, TIG, Plasma & Orbital, Brazing: Torch Brazing & Silver Solder, Stress Relieve: Recirculating hot-air oven, aging and embrittlement relief. Responsibilities: - Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures - Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements - Set up components for welding according to specifications. - Operate straight and angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded - Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces - Repair castings and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps - Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws - Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety - Experience running or reviewing MVR’s (Motor Vehicle Reports) and experience submitting or reviewing background checks. - Ability...
