Description Part Time POSITION: A driver is a "temporary" position, an employee who is scheduled to work on a specific need for the company. The employee will not receive any benefits unless specifically authorized in writing. A temporary employee (such as a driver) is not a scheduled employee, but rather called in to work as needed. Temporary employees are obligated to take state mandated breaks the same as other employees while working. Requirements: ATTENDANCE AND DRIVING AVAILABILITY: If you are on the Driver’s Call list, you are expected to be able to go on a run with reasonable notice. Business fluctuates so when drivers are needed, it is an immediate need. If it is deemed that the driver is too difficult to get in contact with, or turns down an excessive amount of runs, they will be put on notice. If the situation does not improve, they will be removed from the driver’s list. Once a driver commits to a run, they are not allowed to switch to a better run. If this occurs, they will be notified and if switching runs continues, they will be removed from the driver’s list.
