Reporting to the Thrift Shoppe & Volunteer Manager, the Thrift Shoppe Assistant Manager assists the Thrift Shoppe & Volunteer Manger with operating the effective and profitable operation of the store. This person is responsible for the operations of the thrift shoppe when the Thrift Shoppe & Volunteer Manager is not present, but under the direction of the Thrift Shoppe & Volunteer Manager. This includes supervising, volunteers, store presentation, merchandising and inventory rotation, customer service, store sales and store administration. EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS: - High School Diploma or GED; postsecondary education a plus. - Minimum of 1 year of management experience in retail, thrift shoppe, consignment, or equivalent. - Computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite required. - Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license and have reliable transportation available during business hours. - This position will occasionally require working during non-operating store hours and holidays, which may include restocking days and promotional evening and weekend events.
