This position will contribute to the day-to-day activities and special projects of both the Sales and Use Tax Group and the Property/Business License Group within the Corporate Tax Department. The individual will have the opportunity to learn how paint is made, the types of products sold in retail outlets, and the nature of customers’ businesses. The purpose of Internship /Co-op Program is to provide professional development/experience to individuals within their field of study by exposure to the business environment of a large corporation. Because this role involves access to confidential financial information, the Company has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and to provide similar protections for its clients and potential investments. Sales tax/Business license/permit compliance: Maintaining permit documentation (Excel spreadsheets and permit images) Answering notices from various taxing jurisdictions and/or forwarding correspondence to others for follow-up Assist in preparation, check issuance and mailing of business license registrations Communicate with Store personnel as well as government agen...
