Parks & Recreation Tree Trimmer II Posting: June 7, 2026: Salary: $65,000 annually: General Description and Classification Standards: Serves as a worker on a tree trimming crew. This position is the advanced journey level of the tree trimming series, which provides expertise in pruning trees, and removing limbs or trees from Parks Recreation and Cultural Affairs regulated areas. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: These are typical responsibilities for this position and should not be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. May perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications – Education and Experience Must obtain a Class B Georgia Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) within 6 months of hire. Must have at least 2 years of experience in removing trees by climbing with and without tree spikes. Must be able to operate various types of tree operations equipment (Bucket Truck, Chipper Truck, Dump Truck and Chain Saws) - Prune trees and remove limbs safely and efficiently. - Evaluate work sites to determine appropriate tools, methods, and safety needs. - Maintain, operate, and inspect equipment to ensure proper functionality. - Complete and process required paperwork associated w...
