Summary Job Description: Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Telemetry FULL TIME 3RD SHIFT: Med Surg Telemetry is a 22-bed telemetry unit. This unit specializes in general medical surgical and telemetry patients such as but not limited to pneumonia, ESRD, Stroke CHF and chest pain patients. Post-operative patients such as GU, Urology, Orthopedics, Bariatrics, Heart Cath/PCI. The population has multiple co-morbidities and complex care. The patient population is admitted / transferred from ICU, ED and PACU. Job Description: Registered Nurse implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness. Under general supervision, provides professional nursing services and patient care in a variety of settings. Follows established nursing process, including patient assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Ensures adherence to hospital and department policies, and nursing procedures, standards, and practices.
