In support of PPCWNY’s mission, the Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct clinical care offered through a number of programs from family planning to surgical services ensuring patients receive professional services in a timely manner. The RN plans, directs and evaluates total nursing care for the treatment of women from puberty throughout the life cycle, in addition to male services. They also perform routine laboratory testing including blood draws. Essential Functions: Health Center Practice: - Accurately records data in the electronic health record regarding the patient’s health history including obstetric, gynecologic, contraceptive, medical, surgical, family health and psycho-social backgrounds - Performs routine vital signs and lab tests such as weight, blood pressure, urine, hemoglobin, pregnancy test and venipunctures as necessary - In an objective, unbiased manner, discusses pregnancy options with women and offers appropriate referrals a...
