Rhode Island Medical Imaging is currently offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus!* SUMMARY: Performs the functions of a Mammography Technologist under the general supervision of the Manager, Radiologic Technologist and according to established policies and procedures. The Mammography Technologist is expected to practice safe procedures and adhere to radiation safety measures. SCHEDULE: - Monday-Friday at our Pawtucket, RI clinical site - Full-time - Day shift hours vary PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Must be willing to train in QC and stereotactic breast biopsies. - Complete patient education regarding the exam and promote patient comfort. - Perform diagnostic or screening mammograms, as ordered. - Prepare for and assist the radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies. - Produce high-quality films for the radiologist to evaluate. - Perform quality control functions related to mammography. - Demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. - Maintain a high degree of accuracy in mammography positioning and exposure techniques.
