About the Role Kowanyama Aboriginal Shire Council is seeking caring and reliable Casual Aged Care Support Workers to join our Aged Care team. This hands-on role supports the Elders of Kowanyama through the delivery of personal care, meals, social activities, and community support in line with each Elder’s care plan. You’ll be part of a close-knit team that ensures Elders receive the respect, care, and dignity they deserve. Key Responsibilities: - Assist Elders with personal care, meal preparation, and laundry. - Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in the Aged Care Centre. - Support cultural and social activities, including outings on country. - Transport and escort Elders to appointments or community events as required. - Follow workplace health and safety procedures and Aged Care protocols. About You: We are looking for someone who: - Enjoys working with and supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders. - Is reliable, patient, and respectful in their approach. - Works well in a team and can also follow direction independently. - Communicates clearly and maintains confidentiality at all times.
