Overview: 1.0, 40hrs/week Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm: Job Description Summary: Assists with the provision of quality patient care and performs required administrative tasks. Job Description: Essential Functions: - May prepare correspondence, documents, reports and other materials of varying complexity and confidentiality, sometimes requiring independent judgment. - Schedules patient appointments and provides follow-up and reminder calls. - Assists with various clinical tasks that include rooming of patients, vital signs, heights and weights, and any applicable screening questions. - Provides basic, supportive patient care and administers approved medications under the delegation of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. - Collects and reports data to a licensed professional, including any abnormalities, and documents all findings in the medical record. - May act as a preceptor for orientation and training of new staff, float staff and students as directed. Education Requirement: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or five years of equivalent experience, required.
