Advanced Reg Nurse Practitioner - ( 26003157 ) Description The Department of Dermatology is seeking an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner to provide dermatologic care in our Cedar Rapids clinic and provide medical management for patients, exercising autonomy in medical decision-making and services provided in dermatology. This individual will function as a member of the dermatology team to plan, deliver, and evaluate dermatological care. Position Responsibilities: UI Health Care Core Values (WECARE) - Dermatology service providing management of dermatologic care in clinical setting; supervising care plans; ordering treatments, tests and medications. Perform patient assessments in a timely manner and consult attending staff as appropriate. - Mentor and educate medical students and other trainees as to the needs and issues of dermatology patients and population management. - Provide overall comprehensive dermatology care, functioning independently to perform or assist in procedures; order and interpret laboratory tests, biopsy reports and related studies, facilitate home health instructions; prescribe, deliver and/or dispense medications. - Document patient assessments and plan o...
