Dance Teacher Position Summary: To plan, organize and implement an appropriate dance program that guides and encourages scholars to develop and fulfill their potential. Work is performed under the supervision of the Principal. Duties & Responsibilities: - Prepare dancers and produce regular dance concerts and performances. - Work with dancers of varying skill levels from beginner to advanced. - Dance instruction should balance performance preparation as well as the fundamental elements of dance, choreography, and production. - Promote creativity and discover in an uplifting manner consistent with the values of Heritage Academy. - Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures. - Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school. - Provide appropriate feedback on work. - Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies. - Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development. - Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, district policies, and school regulations. - Prepare required reports...
