Laborer

Job description

The Laborer is responsible to assist craft workers with various physical tasks at commercial or industrial construction job sites. This position operates a variety of hand and power tools and prepares and cleans task areas or work sites. Responsibilities: Requirements: - Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing and returning them to the appropriate locations; install or remove signage, railings, or other various hardware. - Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes. - Operate hand or power tools such as air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment or other as required. - If certified, operate heavy equipment such as backhoe, bobcat. - Assist in erecting or dismantling scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, or other temporary structures. - Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards. - 6 months experience working as a commercial or industrial construction laborer - Experience operating required hand and power tools - Strong reading, written and...
