Capacity Planner

Job description

The Capacity Planner is responsible for analyzing Driver Optimization solutions and assigning loads to HGT capacity within an assigned geographic territory. In this role, the Capacity Planner is responsible for daily market planning and effective use of capacity, meeting customer service requirements, minimizing cost through loaded miles and maximizing available driver hours. The Capacity Planner reports to the Manager, Regional Capacity Planning. Essential Job Functions: - Responsible for analyzing Driver Optimization solutions and assigning loads to HGT Capacity in compliance with federal safety regulations, such as “Hours of Service” Federal Regulations, geographic considerations, equipment constraints to maximize driver utilization - Supports the development of market plan and is accountable for daily execution of all inbound and outbound loads for an assigned geographic territory - Re-plans loads when necessary due to delays, equipment failure or driver issues - Works with Intermodal Operations and Network Optimization to maximize equipment utilization and driver productivity - Proactively works with Terminal Operations, Intermodal Operations and Account Management to confirm...
