Title: Seasonal Employee Hourly Department Org: Environmental Sciences - 101250 Employee Classification: H6 - Intermittent - Seasonal Hourly Bargaining Unit: Bargaining Unit Exempt: Primary Location: MC AC: Shift: 1: Start Time: End Time: Posted Salary: $15.00/hour Float: False: Rotate: False: On Call: False: Travel: False: Weekend/Holiday: False: Job Description: The Department of Environmental Sciences, University of Toledo, OH seeks a field technician who will support field measurements, sampling and laboratory analysis for a planned flooding experiment at the Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge. The field technician will work closely with staff and graduate students in the field and laboratory, conducting soil and tree flux measurements, taking porewater and soil gas samples, and conducting vegetation analysis. In addition, the technician will be responsible for professional laboratory-based tasks such as materials preparation, sample labeling, laboratory maintenance, and data entry. This position is part of the DOE funded project – Coastal Observation, Mechanism, and Predictions Across Systems and Scales - Field Measurements and Experiments (COMPASS-FME).
