Job Overview: The Field Service Technician III is a senior-level technician responsible for advanced welding and mechanical work on heavy equipment in shop and field environments. The role requires strong safety leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to independently plan and execute complex work under general supervision from a Leadperson or Superintendent. Responsibilities: - Perform complex work to very close limits of accuracy and quality, requiring sustained visual attention and manual dexterity. - Set cribbing, hydraulic jacks, and safety jack stands to lift electric shovels. - Field machining capabilities including bore welding, setup, and cutting. - Knowledge of aligning couplings on motors, transfer cases, and gearboxes. - Prevent damage to equipment and materials by applying strong attention to detail and quality standards. - Work effectively within a diverse team environment; coordinate work to support team and site objectives. - Travel as required based on business needs and company objectives. - Perform other duties as assigned.
