Classification Title: SASC Collections Services Student Assistant Classification Minimum Requirements: This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week. Job Description: As a member of the Smathers Library Collection Services team, the Student Assistant plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of library operations. This position focuses on accurately pulling and re-shelving a high volume of circulating materials and performing essential tasks that help maintain the library’s organization and function. The Student Assistant will report directly to the Print Collections Support Personal and assist with various collection-related duties, including participation in Google Books project. Training with library software, Dewey Decimal & Library of Congress classification system, and Smathers Library policies is provided during onboarding.
