Job Description: Saab Inc.’s Surveillance Systems division in East Syracuse, NY is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer. The engineer will be a member of the Mechanical Engineering team responsible for the development of mechanical systems and assemblies across various ground based and shipboard military radar platforms. Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following: Application of mechanical engineering principles for the design and development of mechanical components, assemblies and systems. Develop CAD 2D and 3D models of electronic, mechanical and electro-mechanical components, assemblies and systems. Documentation of design solutions including reports, engineering drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM). Present and discuss technical concepts, tradeoffs, analyses, designs, and performance estimates. Interface with Systems Engineering and other disciplines to develop/define/implement customer requirements. Follow through on full product lifecycle: development, prototyping, integration, verification, delivery, and support.
