A Day in the Life: Our TNC (Transportation Network Companies) team is the backbone of Hertz’s partnerships with leading rideshare platforms like Uber and Lyft. We are transforming how our vehicles integrate with mobility services at scale, and we need a Director of Engineering who can turn that vision into reality. This role is accountable for building and leading a high-performance engineering organization that moves fast and delivers. You will set direction, develop talent, and ensure we ship reliable, scalable systems that power the future of transportation. We expect the starting salary to be around $175,000 but will be commensurate with experience. What You’ll Do: Team Health & Culture: Foster an inclusive, collaborative culture and promote technical rigor, ownership, and continuous improvement across the team. Standards & Process: Define and evolve team processes, hiring bar, and engineering standards. Support incident response and reliability improvements.
