Custodian - Nights (Temporary)

Job description

This is a 6 month temporary position with the possibility of extension. This is a night shift position that has a paid and competitive night shift premium. The shift is Monday to Thursday: 5:15 PM to 2:15 AM and Friday: 4:15 PM to 12:15 AM. Key position functions include: - Responsible for performing custodial duties, minor maintenance and other miscellaneous duties in order to ensure that office building and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner. - Daily duties include: emptying waste baskets and disposing of trash; dusting and spot cleaning all furniture (desks, chairs, tables, countertops, phones); cleaning and polishing bright metals; cleaning and sanitizing water coolers; spot cleaning reception glass, including front doors and entrance, interior glass partitions and doors; check, change, and refill towel, soap, and toilet paper dispensers; maintain washrooms and floors. - Perform weekly and monthly duties: vacuuming offices; washing waste baskets (in rotation). - Responsible for shop floor duties: clean and polish water fountains; clean offices, change rooms, and lunch rooms. - Perform other related duties as assigned.
