Description: **MUST BE ABLE TO PASS EMPLOYMENT VERIFICATION AND BACKGROUND CHECK**: **ALL EMPLOYMENT AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE SHOULD BE LISTED ON THE APPLICATION**: JOB BRIEF: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical integrity of the community. This involves ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors and staff. The Maintenance Technician will carry out assigned duties in a safe manner and other duties as requested by the Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor. FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: - Conduct all business in accordance with Company policies and procedures, state and federal laws; e.g., EPA, OSHA, ADA, Fair Housing, etc. - Must be knowledgeable of pertinent laws and EPA and OSHA regulations governing proper storage and management of hazardous materials, including solvents, flammables, caustics and refrigerants. - Constantly observes the condition of apartment property throughout the community and immediately reports to Manager any vandalism, property damage, suspicious activity, and unsafe conditions; e.g., broken gates leading to the pool, broken steps, open holes, broken/burned out exterior lights, and initiates a...
