POSITION SUMMARY: The GA Ops Senior Accountant will lead the performance of more complex financial accounting activities including journal entries and account reconciliations along with preparing financial statements and reports. This position will be responsible for leading these activities timely and accurately in the monthly closing process activities in accordance with company accounting policies and GAAP. This role will perform SOX controls as well as the review of recurring controls in compliance with company policy. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the preparation of the annual operating plan and forecasting processes along with in-depth financial variance analysis. As an operational business partner, this position will serve the local leadership in productivity and cost savings through lean manufacturing activities and key performance indicators. This work will involve a high level of independent judgment and problem solving, accuracy, and initiative.
