Youth After hours Diversionary Service (YADS) Community Outreach Worker Part time | Hobart Region | Wed–Fri Afternoons/Evenings CatholicCare Tasmania is seeking a compassionate Community Outreach Worker to join the expanding Youth After hours Diversionary Service (YADS). Working alongside Anglicare in a two worker model, you will provide trauma informed, early intervention support to young people in public settings across Hobart, Glenorchy, Bellerive and Bridgewater. In this role, you will: •Engage young people safely in the community including demonstrating culturally appropriate and safe practices •Provide practical assistance (transport, essentials, supported referrals) •Support brief intervention, referral to needed supports, planning and risk assessment •Maintain accurate records and contribute to program improvement •Participate in YADS on call You bring: •Experience supporting people facing adversity •Strong communication skills and confidence in dynamic public settings •Well practiced selfcare strategies, resilience and confidence and comfortability in working with clients who may present with character and ‘spark’ •Ability to work within trauma informed, safety first pract...
