Division/Program Summary: The Compliance Unit under the Bureau of Human Resources within the Division of Administration is responsible for processing and conducting background investigations on new hires and current employees, issuing, renewing and replacing lost/stolen IDs, conducting exit consults, tracking over 3500 professional licenses, tracking employment authorization, making referrals for medical clearance for city and non-city personnel, referring employees to the Department of Investigations, processing name and address change, tracking residency compliance, conducting City, State and Federal clearances on all new hires, conducting Medicaid billing clearance, tracking and investigating nepotism, liaising with DCAS to assist with civil service examinations, re-credentialing medical staff in alignment with the State and Federal regulations as it pertains to medical billing and article 28/36.
