Overview Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation Grapevine, Texas: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP): Acute: PRN: Weekend availabilty required: Weekday PRN Rate:$60/hr: Weekend PRN rate: $66/hr: We are seeking a compassionate and driven clinician to join our acute care team. This role is ideal for therapists who enjoy fast-paced environments, critical thinking and daily collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities: Minimum PRN requirements: 1 weekend shift of availability per month in addition to one high-need day (could be weekend or weekday), as determined by the needs of the department. Minimum 2 years of experience in acute care. - Perform comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans and deliver skilled interventions for patients in medical-surgical, ICU, telemetry and specialty units - Participate in interdisciplinary discussions and make recommendations regarding NPO status, diet levels and instrumental assessments - Document timely and accurately in the electronic medical record per hospital and regulatory standards - Completing patient/family and staff education related to communication, cognition and swallowing, as appropri...
