We are looking to fill a position of Principal Engineer in a role of application supporting engineering on the SETS II contract at DHS HQ St. Elizabeths campus. The successful candidate will work with a team of professional engineers supporting operations at the USCG HQ facility and DHS HQ in telecommunications, systems monitoring, issue resolution, installation and upgrading of advanced information systems. Requirements: The following are essential for success: Proven IT experience of 5+ years with bachelor's degree or 8+ years with certifications and experience in several of the following areas: - Proven experience with ServiceNow operational capabilities - Incident management - Ability to create required reports. - Knowledge of several key SNOW modules: Assets, CMDB, KM - Experience working with data models distilling information into categories for use in data systems. - Experience with Web Services and REST architecture. - Scripting skills in one or more of the following: MRL, PERL, JSON, Python, Groovy, JavaScript, etc. - Systems monitoring with SNMP, BMC Software, log analytics, WMI, WinRM and scripting languages. - Event management and processing through email, SNMP, and ag...
