Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory – Registered Nurse The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for implementing, directing and coordinating the care of patients through the use of the nursing process: assessment, planning implementation and evaluation. Included is recognition and treatment of the physical and psychosocial changes unique to the age/population group served on the specific unit. - 3 Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory suites perform cardiac catheterization procedures, permanent pacemaker implants, AICD implants, Electrophysiology studies, ablation procedures, and carotid stenting. - 13 bay pre/post patient care area. - Perform TEE and cardioversion procedures. - Orientation is a 16 week to 6-month orientation to all aspects of the department. - Each staff member participates in the on-call rotation. - Nursing care delivered to adults 18 years or older. No pediatric procedures. - Full time (80 hours biweekly). - Shift: Monday–Friday; 10-hour day. - Eligible for shift and weekend differential.
