Overview The Opportunity: The Corporate Counsel will serve as the primary point of contact for all contractual issues associated with a multimillion-dollar projects, working directly with the General Counsel and the Project Executives. This role is integral to ensuring contractual compliance, risk mitigation, and effective legal support for project operations. Location: You will work at our enterprise headquarters in Detroit, MI with frequent travel to projects as required. Responsibilities: Your key responsibilities: - Interpret and advise project team on contract provisions and obligations - Within established time frames, draft and issue formal notices to: - Owner - Subcontractors - Insurance companies - Collaborate with the Risk Mitigation team to address: - OCIP (Owner Controlled Insurance Program) - SDI (Subcontractor Default Insurance) - Other insurance obligations - Review and draft riders to standard subcontracts Support the project team with: - Change order requirements - Change management processes - Ensure timely submission of all contractual documentation - Provide training and guidance to the operations team on contractual requirements Qualifications: To qualify for t...
