Benevolence Care Centre 9810 165 St NW, Edmonton AB 0.5 FTE position. The hours are from Monday to Friday 8am - 1200 noon. JOB SUMMARY: In accordance with the vision and values of Park Place Senior Living (PPSL) and under the clinical direction of an Occupational Therapist, the Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team in meeting the needs of the resident. The Occupational Therapy Assistant carries out the rehabilitative treatment plans and programs and assists the therapist in monitoring and evaluating residents' progression. The Occupational Therapy Assistant will ensure a commitment to Resident Safety and to our "culture of safety" as per the Strategic Directions of Park Place Seniors Living. TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Carries out the designated components of a rehabilitative treatment plan and/or program as directed by an Occupational Therapist such as strengthening, range of motion (ROM), ambulation training, self-care activities, seating and positioning. - Contributes to the overall evaluation of the resident identifying and reporting verbally and in writing observable social, emotional, cognitive, physical and functi...
