JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Patient Care - Perform direct patient care of pediatric patients within the scope of the psychology license, education and experience. Consistently contributes toward the advancement of clinical patient care and improved outcomes. Interview and assess patients to determine presence of condition/disease and to establish preventive behavioral and mental health practices. Determine nature and extent of impairment, prescribe and administer appropriate behavioral or mental health interventions or assessments. Perform procedures, collect data, analyze data and make decisions regarding patient care, including initial screening, assessment, diagnosis, prognosis, care, reassessment and discontinuation of care. May formulate, maintain, support, monitor and modify a patient-specific plan for care, treatment and rehabilitation based on the patient's assessment. If a subspecialist, works to establish a local or regional referral base.
