Job Description Under supervision by Division attorneys, conducts complex analyses of properties to derive conclusions of value, assisting in a process that will result in settlement or trial of petitions brought pursuant to Article 7 of the New York State Real Property Tax Law to reduce real estate taxes. Applies valuation techniques to derive conclusions of value for all types of properties. Reviews records and documents including leases, rent rolls and financial statements. Requests supplemental information and conducts interviews of property owners and their representatives. Utilizes computer valuation application and performs computations as part of analyses. Negotiates and participates in multiple settlement conferences on a weekly basis with taxpayers attorneys. May also interact with property managers, real estate brokers, and appraisers etc. Reviews and processes paperwork, keeps records according to Division policies and procedures.
