Body Shop Painter

Job description

Martin Automotive Group is seeking a Body Shop Painter for our Dayton Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Location. The Painter is responsible for refinishing vehicles as quickly as possible in a safe and timely manner, with a fit and finish that meets or exceeds the original factory fit and finish. Responsibilities: - Inspect every vehicle as it enters the paint shop from the metal department to ensure that it has passed all previous inspections and standards. - Communicate with Body Shop Manager of any hidden or missed damage that doesn’t appear on the Work Order. - Be able to effectively utilize basic hand tools such as air sanders, air ratchet, spray guns, sanding blocks, etc. - Develop a system for holding all parts for any jobs assigned until parts are installed on the vehicle. - Prime repaired surfaces, using paint spray gun equipment as required. - Ensure adequate material is mixed for an entire paint job, and that it is clearly labeled and stocked for easy access when the vehicle enters the paint shop. - Review every job for color match prior to the vehicle entering the spray booth.
