Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick LLP has an opportunity for a highly motivated associate to join our sophisticated Bankruptcy, Insolvency & Creditors’ Rights practice in the Charlotte, NC, office. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on complex restructurings and insolvencies (including Chapter 11 and cross-border restructurings) as well as commercial disputes while representing national and global clients across a diverse range of industries. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of bankruptcy, insolvency, and/or restructuring experience, including bankruptcy-related litigation. This position provides the chance to work on complex transactions while delivering practicable business guidance to clients facing financial risk with counterparties, customers, or supply chain. We are looking for candidates who take a proactive approach and ownership of their work. Candidates must have a strong commitment to client service and want to develop and grow their bankruptcy and litigation skills by working alongside exceptional attorneys.
