Job description

JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Manager serves as a close partner to the Chief Global Policy Officer (CGPO) and the department's Senior Leadership Teams (SLTs), and acts as Managing Director of CARE Action Now, Inc., CARE's 501(c)(4) affiliated organization. The Senior Manager also serves as USPPA's Strategy Champion, connecting the department to organization-wide planning processes and quarterly progress reviews (QPRs), and represents USPPA on cross-organizational initiatives. The Senior Manager oversees the Senior Program Officer for Grant Management and Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL). The Senior Manager facilitates strategic planning, goal-setting, and initiative tracking to align USPPA's contributions with CARE USA's 4-year strategy. This includes supporting long-term policy advocacy and programmatic goal-setting, managing annual goal cycles for teams and individuals, tracking progress through quarterly sessions and online tools, assessing the effectiveness of key activities, and creating accessible tools and documents that enable strategic pivots and keep work plans aligned with capacities and goals.
