Job description
The Northwest Regional Organised Crime Unit – NWROCU is a collaborative multi agency covert response to tackle serious and organised crime across the Northwest Region. The NWROCU leads the policing response into serious and organised crime throughout the region. This includes Cumbria, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire, Greater Manchester and North Wales. The NWROCU provides the vital link from national capabilities and expertise to local policing and knowledge, enabling the delivery of the Government’s Serious and Organised Crime strategy, to protect our communities from those who cause the most harm. The role of the Development Officer is to work as part of a team to develop the understanding of the threat of serious and organised crime across the North-West, to act as a liaison with our partner forces and to assist in aligning the covert resources of the NWROCU to the most serious organised crime threats within the region.
