POSITION TITLE: Parent Educator DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Olathe Parents as Teachers: STATUS: Classified – Exempt, Part Time HOURS OF WORK: 32.5 hours / 242-day calendar POSITION SUMMARY: Olathe Parents as Teachers is seeking a highly qualified individual to provide services to families with children prenatal to age 5 residing in the Olathe School District. This position will implement the Parents as Teachers curriculum and provide education to families in the form of personal visits, group meetings, screenings, and connections to a network of resources for parents and children. This position is reports to the Olathe Parents as Teachers Program Manager. PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: - Completion of training in the Parents as Teachers Curriculum from the Parents as Teachers National Center, as well as all other required trainings necessary to provide services to families and children. - Follow Parents as Teachers National Center and KSDE requirements and guidelines. - Provide parent education through regular personal home visits implementing the Parents as Teachers Curriculum.
