Job description

The Network Engineer 2 is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing Berkshire Hathaway Energy’s enterprise network infrastructure. This role focuses on the implementation, operation, and troubleshooting of routed and switched networks, network security technologies, and associated management tools. The position also supports the deployment of new networking technologies and applies automation and scripting to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and scalability. The role contributes to high‑availability, secure, and compliant network operations across corporate, data center, and field environments. Configure, support, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, wireless systems, and related network services. Deploy and integrate new network technologies and solutions in alignment with architectural standards, operational requirements, and lifecycle roadmaps. Implement network changes using established change management, security, and compliance processes.
