Description Social Services Coordinator Location: 3935 Sunnyside Drive, Harrisonburg, VA 22801 Schedule: Full-Time, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. The Social Services Coordinator is responsible for supporting residents by identifying social, emotional, and mental health needs and coordinating services and resources to address those needs. This role provides guidance and support to residents as they navigate life changes and challenges by offering appropriate resources, solutions, and coping strategies. The Social Service Coordinator works closely with the Social Services Director, residents, and families to ensure the residents’ needs are being met. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related human services field required. - One to three years of related experience preferred; healthcare experience strongly preferred. - Ability to accurately assess information, make sound decisions, and take appropriate action based on available information. - Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional phone etiquette and effective grammar usage. - Strong organizational skills wit...
